How to Draw Graffiti Names on Paper

Instructions:

    • 1
Decide which name you want to write. Some graffiti artists choose to use a graffiti moniker instead of their real name.
    • 2
Look at the work of other graffiti artists either online, in a book or in your neighborhood. Notice the differences between the styles and see what appeals to you the most. Graffiti is usually written in block or bubble styles. Are you drawn more toward the rounded edges of bubble graffiti or the sharp edges of block lettering? This will give you a good place to start when you write your own graffiti name.
    • 3
Write your name in light pencil across a piece of paper, leaving a lot of space in between each letter.
    • 4
Create a large border around each letter in a rounded bubble or sharp, square block style. You can make each letter individual or have the letters attached through the shapes. Draw with the pencil lightly so you can make mistakes and erase the unwanted lines.
    • 5
Trace the finished lines with various colored markers when you are happy with the end result.
    • 6
Shade the edges with black marker on one side to create a 3D effect that makes the graffito pop. This is not essential, but is a flair that many graffiti artists like to utilize.
